What is the Heat Resistance Temperature of CFRP?
While CFRP is a high-strength and lightweight composite material made with carbon fiber, the heat resistance temperature will vary depending on the plastic resin used as the matrix. CFRPs are typically created with an epoxy resin and products are usually molded at temperatures between 130℃ and 180℃. The heat resistance of these CFRPs varies depending on the continuous use temperatures and the application environment, but will generally have a heat resistance of approximately 100℃ (as a reference).
CFRTP:Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic Made with Thermoplastic Resin
CFRTP has the same basic idea: the heat resistance temperature is determined by the resin. We select the resin and manufacture the CFRP based on the heat resistant requirements of the end product.
